Limiting recreational sun exposure
Ultraviolet radiation (UV rays) from sunlight(exposure to sunlight) is noted as the major cause of almost 800,000 cases of skin cancer diagnosed each year in the US.In regions near the equator the cases increses in number.
Although anyone can get skin cancer, high incidence has been noted in individuals with freckles, light hair, and light complexion and who work outside and have fair skin that freckles easily and often those with red or blond hair or light-colored eyes;in people with darker skin, the palms, soles, mucous membranes, and other areas of light pigmentation are the most common sites for Skin Cancer.

Skin Cancer mostly affects skin of the face, and other most common sites are the ears, the backs of the hands, the shoulders, and the arms. It is most frequent in both sexes, and prevalent in people over the age of 40.
